Malcolm Levy and Richard Peet formed Northcliffe in 1981 and in subsequent years the company has built a fine reputation as builders of excellence. Malcolm and Richard have since retired and the organisation is now headed by Mark Janson and Joe Arruzza, both of whom have been with Northcliffe for over 17 years. The team at Northcliffe, which has blended both youth and experience, has combined to produce buildings of the highest quality in all facets of construction. Our Directors have and will continue to have a "hands on" approach and you can be assured that your project will receive the personal treatment.

Our completed projects include educational facilities, hospitals, factory units, warehouses, textile mills, showrooms, banks, office buildings, retail outlets and countless refurbishments.

We have not specialised in one particular type of construction but have been more versatile in our approach. We have built under design and conscruct contracts, lump sum tender, negotiated contracts and construction management. We believe that each approach has its advantages and our expert guidance will ensure that the most suitable method of construction will be applied to your project.

MARK JANSON is the Construction Director of Northcliffe. He completed his high school education at Epping Boys High School in 1983. He started his carpentry trade course in 1984, completed a Clerk of Works in 1987 and then went on to obtain his building certificate.

Mark's early experience in the construction industry was with Concrete Constructions on sites such as Grosvenor Place and the Chevron Hotel before moving onto K.B Hutcherson and the World Square Project. Mark first joined Northcliffe in 1990 as site foreman working on numerous industrial and commercial projects. In 1994 he became a Project Manager where he has completed a range of projects including Factory developments, Child Car Centres, Educational Facilities, Residential Apartments and Commercial Fitouts.

Mark became a Director in 2005 and continues to personally manage our projects. He brings a wealth of experience to the role and understands all facets of the construction process.

JOE ARRUZZA is the Administrative and Estimating Director of Northcliffe. Joe completed his HSC in 1990 achieving a TER of 92.5 before graduating from the University of Technology in 1996 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) - with second class honours.

Joe joined Northcliffe in 1994 as a building Cadet before progressing to the role of Chief Estimator and Project Manager. He has managed numerous projects over his time with Northcliffe including All Seasons Hotel. Lexus of Chatswood, New Rowley Motors. Casmir Catholic College. Good Shepherd Primary School, Xavier College. and the Citroen Showroom.

Joe was appointed a Director in 2005 and is the Chief Estimator for Northcliffe whilst continuing to personally administer various projects.
